The Winston-Salem Journal and the Winston-Salem Dash want you to audition for a chance to sing the National Anthem at a Winston-Salem Dash game at BB&T Ballpark this season!

Who can audition?

Whether you’re an adult or child, like to sing solo, sing with a friend, sing with a group or choir, or play an instrument, we want you! No age restrictions apply.

Are there prizes?

5 entrants receiving the highest judges' scores will be eligible for a Grand Prize package.
The Grand Prize winner receives:

  • 2nd singing opportunity on July 4th
  • 4 Club-level game tickets to game of final performance, including "all-you-can-eat" access to the Club Restaurant
  • Dash hat to accompany each Club-level ticket

How do you audition?

  • If you are among the first 150 entries received, you will be notified by e-mail or phone and assigned a performance time. Those who are not contacted by the Winston-Salem Dash to schedule an audition time are encouraged to attend on Saturday, March 5, and register as a stand-by performer.
  • Contestants will audition a capella (without music) for a panel of celebrity judges. Come attired as if it were game day and you were performing live on the field. The audition may be videotaped and recorded. All contestants are asked to stay within the 90-second allotted time slot they are scheduled. All contestants will be contacted by mail after the auditions are complete.
