Winston-Salem Journal SURVEY DRAWING RULES
- No purchase is necessary.
- To win, at the time of entry you must be at least eighteen (18) years old and a legal resident of the state of North Carolina Drawing is subject to all federal, state and local laws. Void where prohibited by law. By entering, participants agree to these Official Rules
- Only one (1) entry per household
- All Survey entries must be complete and submitted by November 15, 2010
- Employees of the affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors, suppliers, franchisees, promoters, and agents of the Winston-Salem Journal or Media General Operations, and the immediate families of the employees of any of these, are not eligible
- The odds of winning are based upon the number of correct surveys received
- Prizes are not transferable, substitutable, or exchangeable. If Prize Winner(s) fail to meet any eligibility requirement herein, alternate Prize Winners will be chosen by random drawing to be held as soon as reasonably practicable after initial Prize Winners are determined to be ineligible
- To enter the Contest, go to survey page or http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/WEB22BCE3CWK6W and complete all elements of a survey about Winston-Salem Journal news content and submit per instructions. All properly completed surveys will be automatically entered into the Survey Drawing
- The Grand Prize will consist of a free 1-year, home-delivered subscription to the Winston-Salem Journal. In the event the Grand Prize winner lives in an area in which there is no home-delivery of the Winston-Salem Journal, the Grand Prize shall consist of a 2-year subscription to the E-edition of the Journal to be delivered to the winner’s computer each day. In addition to the Grand Prize, there will be 10 winners of Journal comic umbrellas, also to be chosen by random drawings among eligible survey participants
- Prize Winners will be selected by a random drawing conducted at the end of the survey period. Prize winners will be notified by telephone after all random drawings are complete
- All federal, state and local laws apply. Sponsors shall be entitled to interpret these rules as needed — including but not limited to rules regarding entries, selection of winner, deadlines, restrictions on prizes, and eligibility — and all of their decisions are final. By submitting survey entries, participants agree to these Official Rules. The Winston-Salem Journal reserves the right to cancel, terminate or suspend this Contest or any part of this Contest should any non-authorized intervention, network failure, information storage failure, telecommunications failure, malfunction, or other causes beyond its control, corrupt or impair the security, administration, fairness and/or operation of this Contest as determined by the Newspaper in its sole discretion. The Journal and Media General Operations, Inc. are not responsible for lost, interrupted, or unavailable network, server, or other connections, or for any failed telephone or computer hardware or software, or for any failed, delayed, misdirected, corrupted, or garbled transmissions or errors of any kind, whether human, mechanical, or electronic, or for entries that for any reason are not received by the deadline stated above. The Winston-Salem Journal and Media General Operations, Inc. are also not responsible for any injury or damage to any computer, modem or other electrical device as a result of participation in this Contest or downloading of any software or materials
- Any person attempting to defraud or tamper with this Contest in any way will be ineligible for prizes and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
